Call for Poster and Digital Mixed Media Project Proposals

We welcome proposals for poster presentations and digital mixed media projects that examine topics pertaining to Afro-Diasporic Houston or address the ways in which research and activism has sparked change across institutions in the city.


Submission is open to all conference participants.

Submissions are Closed


Participants will hear back about acceptance to the symposium by the first week of February, 2023.

Submitted poster designs may be displayed at the Black Houston(s) Symposium reproduced on the official website, and on social media channels at the sole discretion of the Black Houston(s) Symposium planning committee.
